Our Opinion

Mismatched web series tried to point many social issues like marriage is main focus of girl’s life, trust issues with friends & partners, handling bullies in college or society. But to be honest addressing these all made this series a little complicated at times.

I somewhat felt direction wise this series is quite off. Sometimes plots taking unrelatable twists, even at certain points there are unnecessary abusing, debating over silly topics which did not make any sense. A lot of things shown wrong like the entire course and app building process even the way youth was living their life.

Prajakta Koli (Mostlysane) was average barring the fact she is a YouTuber and pretty new to the film industry. Rohit Sharaf, Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malavade was good but the story and direction made everything less impactful.

Overall, in our Mismatched Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 2.5 stars out of 5. If you enjoy watching romantic dramas or fan of Mostlysane you may consider watching the series. Otherwise, skip this one.

Our Opinion

Special OPS is a fictional web series inspired by real-life incidents especially terror attacks happen in the last two decades. The entire story is very crisp, meaningful, and enjoyable. I liked the way how the mastermind was managed to spread terror but staying in the shadows like a ghost so that people not even doubt his existence. The direction and screenplay were neat and clean, not even a single second felt extra or boring.

Kay Kay Menon, Divya Dutta, Gautami Kapoor, Karan Tacker, and Vinay Pathak performed extremely great so as the entire casting. Kay Kay Menon absolutely nailed it, probably one of the best spy character acting I have ever seen. Special OPS turns out to be a perfect outcome from all perfect ingredients.

Out of all popular Espionage web series in different OTT apps, Special OPS and The Family Man (review) really took the lead for their practical and enjoyable content.

Overall, in our Special OPS Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 4.5 stars out of 5. If you enjoy watching action, crime, suspense then I recommend you watch the series. Otherwise, you may miss one of the best series ever.

Our Opinion

Delhi Crime is based on a very pathetic true story collected from Delhi Police itself hence I do not have any right to comment on the story. But the way the whole incident was portrayed in the series, definitely deserves strong appreciations.

Director Richie Mehta made this series compact, meaningful, narrative, and full of emotions even the timeline sequences are commendable too. The entire casting was excellent in a word, specially Shefali Shah, her expression and on point acting skills contributed a lot to the overall success.

Not only me but almost everyone praised Delhi Crime as one of the best web series ever. Even this series bags four renowned awards too, one International Emmy Awards for best crime drama series and three iReel Awards for Best Crime Drama Series, Best Actress (Drama) & Best Writing (Drama).

Overall, in our Delhi Crime Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 5 stars out of 5. I will not speak more about it but request to watch the series once, I am sure that we will feel what I am feeling now. This web series is an anthology, so we can easily predict many more fact-based seasons are on the way.

Our Opinion

Bard of Blood is a pretty straightforward web series. The script and directions just felt adequate, not super-impressive. I personally did not like storytelling mainly the covertness of a spy was missing. The seven episodes of this series were tidy but with a lot of exaggerated emotions, especially with Kabir Anand’s character. In the first episode, Kabir Anand was showcased as one of the best agents of the agency, his work was being used for influencing trainees but later when we saw him in action, he does not felt that good.

The entire cast did decent enough to make it consumable. Emraan Hashi and Kirt Kulhari managed to outperform others though. To my surprise, the entire series does not have a single comedy scene and lacks maturity too which makes this series a little boring.

Comparing Bard of Blood with a similar genre web series, The Family Man, later one felt way more enjoyable and engaging due to neat script, maturity, and on-point use of emotions.

It is not like Bard of Blood is trash, don’t get me wrong, rather there are many serious viewers who just love actions, thrill or espionage things, they will love it. Truly speaking, I would have rated it 4 out 5, if I missed “The Family Man” (review here).

Overall, in our Bard of Blood Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 3 stars out of 5. If you enjoy watching action, crime, suspense then this series is for you. Otherwise, you may consider to binge-watch it. By the ending, we can predict that season 2 is on the way. Let us just hope this time they make it more enjoyable.

The story is inspired by newspaper articles (as claimed) and showcased a few terrorism events between India and Pakistan. From saving the country to maintain regular family life, the entire series portrayed the versatility of a spy, Shrikant, who never fails to go yellow whenever the situation demanded.

If you ever wonder why The Family Man series was so hyped or probably finding this name in each and every web series recommendations? You are right, this is one of the gems in the digital content world. Almost all possible ingredients like scripts, directions, music, outdoor shootings, etc. were exceptional to make this series one of the most enjoyable content on the web. Especially Manoj Bajpayee again proved himself to be a legend whereas other artists delivered a commendable performance too.

All 10 episodes are quite neat and well proportionate still you may feel, this series can be completed in 8 to 9 episodes. But according to me, a few more detail did help this series a lot in its overall success.

Briefly, in Mirzapur Season 1, we have seen Munna (Divyenndu) became obsessed with King of Mirzapur’s hot seat as his father Kaleen Bhai (Pankaj Tripathi) never felt him worthy. This time everything is at a high stake be it relation, emotion, business, or even politics, just for unforgiving dark revenge.

As we already mentioned in our Mirzapur Season 1 Review, Mirzapur is a very popular violent, mature, and raw content. The script, screenplay, and direction are excellent even the ending will leave you dazzled.

Pankaj Tripathi did one of his best performance, his attitude, voice tone, dialogue delivery was superb. Other artists like Divyenndu, Rasika, Ali Fazal, Shweta, Vikrant, Kulbhushan were also outstanding. Altogether the whole series is a golden combination of incredible acting, scripts, and great directions.

As I had mentioned in my season 1 review, the only thing I disliked about the whole Mirzapur web series is excessive and brutal violence. Although, those were needed still felt a bit exaggerated. Even foul language usage is so frequent that you must use earphones all the time.

Overall, in our Mirzapur Season 2 Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 4 stars out of 5. If you love action, crime, thrill, suspense, and drama then this series is perfect for you. People who do not enjoy violence at all must skip, one of the most violent web series Mirzapur.

Mirzapur is undoubtedly a very popular violent, mature, and raw content ever. The storyline and direction are on per to judge in simple words. The thrill begins as soon as the first episode rolls until the very end of the last episode. Briefly, a detailed but perfect screenplay.

Pankaj Tripathi delivered a master-stroke performance, his attitude, voice tone, dialogue delivery was superb. Even other artists like Divyenndu, Rasika, Ali Fazal, Shweta, Vikrant, Kulbhushan did outstanding acting. All together everyone including the script and direction made a perfect harmony which later turned into a masterpiece.

The only thing I disliked about the whole Mirzapur web series is excessive and brutal violence. Although, those were needed still felt a bit exaggerated.

Briefly, in the first chapter, we saw how “Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala” (Bobby Deol) built an empire-like racket by just gaining people’s trust by putting them in odd situations and then recover. But many incidents, including the sudden resurfacing of a skeleton, started to point out “Aashram” to be the main source of crimes.

In this chapter, Aashram still continues to trap people to gain trust. So that Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala can easily manipulate political decisions on a larger scale. In between, two undercover police officers managed to enter the empire as drug-addicts for collecting evidence against Aashram. Even Pammi started realizing odd facts about Aashram and Garibowale Baba Nirala.

Our Opinion

To start with, director Prakash Jha still maintained the super-detailed perspective similar to Aashram Chapter 1. This entire chapter 2 is basically to set a motion towards the conclusion where the racket falls apart and surrendered to justice.

Alike previously, this chapter is also quite engaging and the timeline is well organized. But comparatively this chapter felt a bit more lengthy. Don’t get me wrong, the first chapter was lengthy too, just because of building a basic plot, relating to the back story, introducing to different characters, and their role in the series, it did not felt that much.

As I already mentioned in my Aashram chapter 1 review, the casting of this web series is amazing. Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, and Darshan Kumaar are as usual did pretty good so as the whole crew, everyone is equally contributed to make it an enjoyable play.

Overall, in our Aashram Chapter 2 Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 4 stars out of 5. If you love crime drama then this series is perfect for you. For the rest, I strongly recommend watching it.

Our Opinion

First of all, big applause to the director Prakash Jha for making this web series “Aashram” super-detailed and engaging. Every character is well established, even the timeline sequence is on par. In a word, it is a beautifully crafted web series.

Bobby Deol again proves himself fantastic after the Netflix Orginal Series Class of ’83, he seems to be the perfect fit for fake Babaji “Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala”. Babaji’s calmness, less-talking attitude, criminal mind are well portrayed too. I must say Booby Deol is on fire now. Aaditi Pohankar as Pammi also showcased commendable acting skills. For the first time, I saw her acting in a Netflix Original Series “She”; since then Aaditi evolved a lot, now she looks more mature. I personally felt everyone did a very neat and clear job to make this web series “Aashram” a success.

Out of all goods, I must mention, at times I felt the series is quite lengthy. 9 episodes with an average playtime of 40 minutes each, is a really long time, especially for a thriller series. Maybe that is why the director decided to divide the whole series into multiple seasons, the first season to create the plot, and probably next season, we will see How Pammi exposes the racket and bring the culprits into justice.

Overall, in our Aashram Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 4 stars out of 5. If you love crime drama then this series is perfect for you. For the rest, I strongly recommend watching it.

While “Aashram” showcased the dark side of Godman’s Influence and their motive, it has a conflicting side also. But this kind of story is becoming common these days, hence the Aashram web series can create an impact in all of the fake Babaji’s world.

Masaba and Neena Gupta played their real-life stories in this dramatic series Masaba Masaba so, undoubtedly they nailed it. Even the mesh of their life and how they overcome from that mesh are well portrayed too. The series gives a good message like everyone can change their imperfect life to perfect just by starting to face their problems.

But that’s all the good, rest is quite different like directions, flows of the story, continuation between episodes, exaggerated melodrama, everything felt very very messy. Few characters are not well defined which further creates confusion. Lastly, the story is more like fairy tales where a girl makes her life messy every time and then literally stitch every piece and get going without losing herself.

Overall, in our Masaba Masaba Web Series review, we would like to rate this series 2.5 stars out of 5. If you love melodrama or look at life as a mesh then this series can be a perfect match for you. For the rest, it is not that bad for binge-watching.

Maybe Masaba Masaba web series is more spicier than Masaba’s real-life story, who knows.
