Among all smartphone price range, budget (Under Rs. 10000) and mid-range (Under Rs. 20000) are the highest-selling segments. Every year millions of new users add to the list. The mid-range segment (Rs. 10K to 20K) is currently flourishing like anything, almost in every 1000 INR bracket “Best Mobile” recommendation changes. So we break this range into two groups, under 15000 and 20000 INR.

Today we will select the Best Mobile Phone under 15000 INR based on important aspects as below. Whether you are a little advanced user or fascinated by either 48 MP camera, an FHD+ display, fast charging, etc, this category may be the correct fit for you.

Multimedia

Battery & Charging

Performance

Design, Storage & Security

Warranty & Support

Availability

Price

In this battle, we will mainly focus on Redmi Note 9 Pro, Realme 7, and Realme Narzo 20 Pro because these mobiles are providing exceptional value for your hard-earned money.

Let’s select the Best Mobile Phone under 15000

It is very important to check every aspect like camera, sound, display, battery, processor, charging, design, security, etc. one by one to find out the best mobile phone under Rs. 15000 in India. Let’s dive in…

Multimedia

To be very honest most people want a very balanced mobile phone in this category especially under the 15k range and their utmost priority remains multimedia usage and a little bit of gaming. Just to clarify multimedia usage refers, good photography, an immersive display, decent sound output, etc.

In terms of display, Realme Narzo 20 Pro and Realme 7 will be the best choice with a 6.5″ Full HD+ 90Hz IPS LCD display. A higher refresh rate definitely enhances user experience a lot.

If you look for the best camera specs in the segment, it is Realme 7 with a whopping 64 MP f/1.8 Sony IMX 682 sensor. Realme Narzo 20 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro both have a 48 MP sensor, decent enough for good photography.

Surprisingly, all of the above smartphones lag dual stereo speakers although they sound adequately loud and good. Only Oppo A53 comes with dual-stereo speakers support under 15000 INR in India.

Battery & Charging

Battery backup and how fast it charges, are the second most important factor in this segment.

Realme 7, Oppo A53, Redmi Note 9, and Redmi Note 9 Pro have the largest 5000 mAh battery but the charging speed varies between phones. Redmi Note 9 Pro & Oppo A53 support 18W. While Redmi Note 9 and Realme 7 supports 22.5W and 30W charging respectively, and the class-leading Realme Narzo 20 Pro supports 65W SuperDart charging.

In our pick, Realme Narzo 20 Pro is more practical as all smartphones will almost get you a whole day of usage so fast charging remains the most important here.

Performance

Although we ranked performance in 3rd place does not mean it is less significant. Practically even if you have the best smartphone with great multimedia and battery backup, a weak processor can ruin the complete user experience (UX).

In this segment, the most powerful processors are MediaTek Helio G95 equipped in Realme 7 and Realme Narzo 20 Pro. Whereas Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro equipped with a slightly less powerful MediaTek Helio G85 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G respectively.

Design, Storage & Security

Design is the most relative factor, hence we can not pick a clear winner. But I personally liked Redmi Note 9 Pro’s back panel the most, although all smartphones have good design.

In terms of storage, the top two contender realme Narzo 20 Pro and Realme 7 both start with 6GB+64GB options except Redmi Note 9 Pro starts with 4GB+64GB. Although you will get a dedicated microSD card slot to expand in the future if needed.

Form a security point of view all mentioned smartphones (Realme 7, Realme Narzo 20 Pro & Redmi Note 9 Pro) get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner except Oppo A53 has it in the back panel.

Support & Warranty

All these phones run on Android 10 with their own custom skins, realme UI 1.0, MIUI 11, Color OS 7.2. While all are similar still realme is definitely felt a bit more cleaner. Mostly, these phones will get a major update like Android 11 for 1 year and minor/security update for 2 years.

The warranty is the same on both the phones 1 Year standard. But what gets realme an extra edge is its Callme service. You can call, schedule a pickup, the phone will be repaired and returned to you.

Availability

All these phones get available through e-Commerce flash sales. Redmi’s Note 9 Pro and Realme’s Narzo 20 Pro & 7 will available at Amazon/mi online store and Flipkart/realme store respectively.

Price

Realme 7 and Realme Narzo 20 Pro are priced at Rs. 14999 for 6GB+64GB variant. While Redmi Note 9 Pro offers a 4GB+64GB option for Rs. 13999 which I personally feel okayish. On another side, Oppo A53’s 4GB+64GB is Rs. 12990. There are other good smartphones that fall under Rs. 10000 to 15000 range based on price and specs.

Rs. 10000 – 12000: Redmi Note 9/Realme Narzo 20

Rs. 12000 – 13000: Oppo A53

All the purchase links from Amazon/Flipkart are mentioned below.

In our detailed breakdown analysis, Realme Narzo 20 Pro (detailed review) is the best mobile under Rs. 15000 in India, for its best-in-class value for money offerings.

In 2020, many new people are entering the smartphone territory, all thanks to Reliance JIO for making the internet more affordable. Even the COVID-19 pandemic is also contributing to this transition as many institutions taking online classes these days.

Today we will select the Best Mobile Phone under 10000 INR based on important aspects as below. For a new user, it is not easy to jump sub 20K segment so they always prefer to buy a budget first then upgrade later if required.

Multimedia

Battery & Charging

Performance

Design, Storage & Security

Warranty & Support

Availability

Price

In this battle, we will mainly focus on Redmi 9 Prime, Realme C12, and Realme Narzo 10A. Because these are providing exceptional value for your hard-earned money.

Let’s select the Best Mobile Phone under 10000

It is important to check every aspect like camera, sound, display, battery, processor, charging, design, etc. one by one to find out the best budget mobile phone under Rs. 10000 in India. Let’s dive…

Multimedia

To be very honest most people want a very balanced phone in a budget category smartphones especially under the 10k range and their utmost priority remains multimedia usage. Just to clarify multimedia usage refers, basic photography, big screen, decent sound output, etc.

Under this category, Redmi 9 prime will be the best choice with 6.53″ Full HD+ IPS display, 13MP f/2.2 Primary lens and balanced sound output via bottom-firing speakers.

Battery & Charging

Battery backup and how fast it charges, are the second most important factor in this segment.

Realme C12 has the largest 6000 mAh battery with reverse charging support but lacks fast charging. Another hand Redmi 9 prime supports up to 18W fast charging with 5020 mAh and USB Type-C connector.

In our pick, Redmi 9 Prime will be more practical as both smartphones will easily get you more than a day usage so fast charging remains most important here.

Performance

Although we ranked performance in 3rd place does not mean it is less significant. Practically even if you have the best smartphone with great multimedia and battery backup, a weak processor can ruin the complete user experience (UX).

In this segment, the most powerful processors are MediaTek Helio G80 equipped in Redmi 9 Prime and its slight step down version Helio G70 in Realme Narzo 10A.

Design, Storage & Security

Design is most relative, hence we can not pick a clear winner. But I personally never like the big realme branding in Narzo 10A otherwise both devices are well designed.

In terms of storage, the top two contender realme Narzo 10A and Redmi 9 Prime both have 4GB RAM and 64GB storage options. Even you will get a dedicated microSD card slot to expand in the future if needed.

Form a security point of view realme Narzo 10A goes ahead with the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that Redmi 9 Prime lags.

Support & Warranty

Both of these phones run on Android 10 with their own custom skins, realme UI 1.0, and MIUI 11. While both are similar but realme is definitely felt a bit more cleaner. Mostly, these phones will get a major update like Android 11 for 1 year and minor/security update for 2 years.

Availability

Both of these phones get available through e-Commerce flash sales mostly on Fridays. Redmi 9 Prime and Realme Narzo 10A will available at Amazon/mi online store and Flipkart/realme store respectively.

Price

Both phones are priced at Rs. 9999 for 4GB+64GB variant. While Redmi gets a step ahead and offers a 4GB+128GB option for Rs. 11999 which I personally feel not worth the price. Another side, Realme Narzo 10A also has a stepped down variant 3GB+32GB for Rs. 8999. All the purchase links from Amazon/Flipkart are mentioned below.

Best Buy Links

Redmi 9 Prime: Amazon (Affiliate Link)

Realme Narzo 10A: Flipkart

Realme C12: Flipkart
