But surprisingly this time Infinix did a good job, they changed mindset and re-entered the market with comparatively trendy hardware and modern price. This brand is providing a massive 6.95″ HD+ LCD IPS display, 48 MP Quad camera and DTS surround sound as key highlights.

Before we discuss our verdict, pros, and cons, let’s see the technical specification, box contents, and design of the new Infinix Note 7.

Verdict

To be honest, after a very long time I liked a smartphone from this brand, Infinix Note 7. Although it has a lot of cons, let that wait a bit. To start with massive 6.95″ HD+ display along with DTS surround sound (Stereo Speakers) will definitely be a treat for binge-watchers. Even 48 MP rear primary camera should be great in daylight but Infinix is promising to provide good clicks at night too.

This smartphone has widevine L3 support and even a notification light. With an 18W fast charging and 5000 mAh battery, I believe this smartphone would easily last a day. Finally, I personally loved the back panel design, Infinix calls it as Gem cut textures.

Coming to the processor and memory part, Infinix’s at least a step ahead and chooses MediaTek Helio G70 which is a good processor for almost everything and mid-level gaming. I wish this smartphone to have a MediaTek G80. 4GB+64GB looks a balanced option at this price point too.

Now comes to cons. First of all, Infinix has entered the most disappointing area, displaying Ads. I know this strategy enables a brand to maintain a lower price bracket. But still, from a customer perspective, we must never have Ads on our smartphones, cause we bought it. Let’s come to its size and display, no doubt binge-watchers will like it but what about the one-handed operation or carrying in pockets, it is definitely going to be a task at least for the first couple of days. Lastly, Why Micro USB ports, not Type-C? Almost every competitor nowadays providing Type-C.

Infinix Note 7 is definitely a bump up from its predecessor Infinix Note 6, no doubt on that, even the specification looks good on paper too. Although a few nags like displaying Ads, micro USB ports especially could be fixed easily.

Infinix Note 7 smartphone will be available from September 22, 2020, at Flipkart, 4GB + 64 GB at Rs. 11499/-.

Currently, Realme Narzo 10 will be the better choice at the price point, and if you want to spend less or compromise on the camera go for either POCO M2 or Redmi 9 Prime. I wish Infinix priced this smartphone under 9.5K then I would recommend it to at least budget binge-watchers.
