Micromax made its official comeback by launching two new smartphones, Micromax In 1B & Micromax In Note 1. These “Make in India” smartphones seem to be the most value for money product from the brand. Mr. Rahul Sharma (CEO, Micromax) already confirmed earlier, “Micromax is coming back soon“.
Micromax used to be a very popular mobile brand in India. It has ruled the Indian Smartphone market for years, especially around 2010-2014 with its Canvas series smartphones and basic feature phones.
But later brand could not manage to maintain the pace and soon went out of track. Almost more than a year (2018 onwards) Micromax went into a hibernation-like state until its surprise comeback in October 2020 and final launch on 3rd November 2020.
Our heartiest congratulations to Micromax for a solid comeback in the market. I really hope this time Micromax will continue to provide the best possible value for money products and services to the consumers.

If you are looking for an entry-level and non-Chinese smartphone with modern features on a tight budget, Micromax In 1B could be a very good Desi budget choice for you.
This phone has got a 13MP primary camera which should fulfill your basic needs. The combination of MediaTek Helio G35 and 6.52″ HD+ LCD panel is capable enough to run the day to day applications smoothly with an eye-soothing display experience. Additionally, the 5000 mAh battery can easily last more than a day for moderate usage, and with 10W charging and reverse charging support, you are covered 180 degrees. Micromax put an effort to incorporate premium features like dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, VoWiFi, etc at this price point along with a pure stock android experience.
I personally felt Micromax did an outstanding job. Still, If we talk about the cons, I believe with a minor price hike like Rs. 500, a 3GB+32GB variant with full fledge Android 10 would have been a better starting point than the current 2GB+32GB variant with Android Go. Otherwise, this Micromax In 1B is truly one of the best in class, simply an unbeatable non-Chinese alternative.
If you are looking for a cheap and budget non-Chinese smartphone with the best possible specification, undoubtedly go for Micromax IN 1B with a 13MP camera, 6.52″ HD+ display, 5000 mAh battery with 10W USB Type-C charging, reverse charging, pure android and Dual-Band Wi-Fi.

Frankly speaking, Micromax IN 1B 4GB+64GB variant makes more sense than its 2GB+32GB variant. But if you don’t want to spend more than INR 7K and your requirement is very basic then the base 2GB+32GB variant will be okay with Android Go.
P.S. Micromax IN 1B will be available from November 27, 2020, at Flipkart for 2GB+32GB at Rs. 6999/- & 4GB+64GB at Rs. 7999/-.
